A website is much more than a collection of related sites and contents. This is an interface, an environment with various objects - in this case, an individual and the web presence of a business or entity-interact, communicate and influence one another. This interaction creates a visitor experience and it's your job as a web designer to make sure the experience is as good as possible.
Thinking about the user is the first, foremost and forever criteria. Fortunately, while web design is a relatively new area, it owes much to the scientific study of interactions between human and machine (HCI). And these useful HCI research guidelines can allow you to concentrate on your users when building websites and applications.
Interface design based upon the architecture of interface features is a subset of the design of user experience, which focuses on a broader image. What should be kept in mind?
Know Your People
You must know who your users are above all else, inside and outside. That means that all of your analytical applications will draw demographic data. More importantly, though, it means understanding what they need and what keeps them from achieving their goals.
Achieving this level of empathy takes more than rigorous statistical analysis. It takes people who use your website to get acquainted. It means speaking to them face to face, looking at them using (and maybe others) your product and giving them advice that go further than "what do you think about this design?"
What are their objectives? What prevents them from achieving these objectives? How can a website help them solve these obstacles or work against them?
Don't stop learning what your customers are searching for. Find out what they need and go deeper. Desire is, after all, only a need to outgrowth. If you are able to satisfy the deep requirements of a customer, you can meet their needs, while meeting more relevant requirements.
Every decision you make on how to use your app, what kinds of content you highlight in the app, will remind you of your experiences from the study of data and the usage of users.
Define the Way to Use the Interface
You need to decide how people can use your interface before you build. As the proliferation of touch-based devices grows, it is a more important issue than you might imagine.
Websites and apps are used by the public in two ways: directly (by interactions with product interface elements) and indirectly (by interactions with non-product elements).

You would not want to rely on swiping, if you built for seniors or people with limited manual dexterity. You should support all of the traditional keyboard shortcuts if you are designing writers or code-writers who mostly communicate with apps through the keyboard to reduce the time you work with the mouse.
Set the Criteria
Many interactions with a website or an application have consequences: if you click on a button, you can spend money, delete comment in disgrace to any post. And there are also anxieties any time there are implications.
But be sure to let users know what's going to happen before you click on the icon. This can be achieved by creating and/or copying.
Set Design Criteria
Enhance the button which matches the desired action
The use of a commonly known symbol (such as a delete button, a plus sign to add something or a search lens) with a copy
Select an acceptable colour (green for "go," red for "stop")

Alert distribution and clarification requests
